The OM System Tough TG-7 digital camera is designed to withstand the rigours of outdoor life, giving you a high-quality point-and-shoot camera you can trust. The 12 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and TruePic VIII image processing processor deliver excellent photo and video performance even in low light, with a wide maximum aperture of f/2 and ISO up to 12,800. While the TG-7 retains much of the same chassis as the previous model, it introduces a number of new features such as vertical video support, interval shooting, exposure compensation and USB-C connectivity. With these added benefits, you'll be well prepared to capture your scenes and easily upload them directly to your devices while navigating the camera's 3", 1.04m dot matrix LCD monitor. The TG-7 is also compatible with 17 unique accessories that can be purchased to further expand the camera's capabilities, including fisheye/tele-converters, underwater housings, lens filters and more.

Ultra flexible

Improved video features

The TG-7 adds some new features to the already impressive video functionality. Vertical video support allows you to capture vertical-frame-rate videos seamlessly, perfect for vlogging and sharing on social media. Interval shooting allows you to take multiple photos, spaced out at set intervals, to better capture the action. The Pro Capture mode helps you capture the perfect moment in an action sequence by buffering your images when you press the shutter button halfway. The TG-7 saves up to 70 frames of the last buffered image before and after the shutter button is released.

Extensive macrosystem

In addition to the TG-7's 4x optical zoom, you can add four macro shooting modes to capture close-up scenes. Choose Microscope mode to capture images at an incredibly short focal length of around 10mm. Switch to Microscope Control mode to zoom in 44x closer. Use Focus Stacking mode to combine multiple images and create a single photo with great depth of field. Focus Bracketing allows you to capture up to 30 images at different focus points, which can then be stitched together in post-production. With these macro capabilities, you can easily capture the finest details of your subject and reveal creative perspectives that are invisible to the naked eye.

Advanced underwater recording

Take photos and record video at depths of up to 15 metres with generous features that make underwater shooting easy. The underwater white balance mode provides a solution for recovering accurate colour tones that may be lost during deeper dives.

12MP BSI CMOS sensor and TruePic VIII processor

The TG-7 uses a 12MP BSI CMOS sensor and TruePic VIII image processor to capture brilliant, richly coloured photos and videos. Both sides of the image sensor's sealing glass have an anti-reflective coating that reduces glare often encountered when shooting in snow, dust or sandy conditions. The sensor's BSI design, coupled with a maximum aperture of f/2, ensures clearer image quality at higher ISO values. Shoot in RAW for maximum detail and control for image editing. The processor allows you to capture UHD 4K30p video and high-speed Full HD 1080p video at up to 120 fps.

Sensor system

The TG-7's field sensor system includes a GPS, manometer, compass and thermometer, so you can capture important information about your surroundings and include it in your photos and videos. You can easily transfer the captured data and images to a mobile device using the built-in Wi-Fi. In addition to wireless transmission, the built-in Wi-Fi also allows remote control of the camera.

Designed for the Olympus Tough TG-7 digital camera, the OM System PT-059 underwater case provides underwater use up to a depth of 44 metres, so you can easily shoot under the surface.

The durable case allows full handling of the camera and is designed to support optional accessories such as conversion lenses and up to two external flash units.
