DJI Mic Mini 2S Wireless Microphone with Internal Recording

The DJI Mic Mini 2S is an ultra-compact wireless microphone system designed for interviews, vlogging, podcasts, livestreams and professional video production. Its approximately 12g transmitter supports 32-bit float internal recording, two-level AI noise reduction and approximately 14.5GB of integrated storage.
A single receiver can connect to as many as four transmitters and supports mixed use of DJI Mic Mini, Mic Mini 2 and Mic Mini 2S components. Direct DJI OsmoAudio connectivity, Bluetooth support, flexible channel configurations and a maximum transmission range of up to 400m provide broad compatibility with cameras, mobile devices and computers.

32-bit float internal recording

The DJI Mic Mini 2S transmitter supports 32-bit float internal audio recording. Its broad recording headroom provides greater flexibility when restoring unexpectedly quiet or loud audio during post-production.

The 32-bit float internal recording function is disabled by default and can be activated through the DJI Mimo app.

Up to 28 hours of internal audio

The transmitter includes approximately 14.5GB of integrated storage. It can hold up to approximately 28 hours of 24-bit internal audio or up to approximately 22 hours in 32-bit float mode.

Loop recording allows the transmitter to function as an independent safety recorder. The internal file remains available even if the wireless connection is interrupted.

Recording can be configured to:

• begin automatically when the transmitter powers on
• operate in synchronisation with the receiver
• activate when receiver battery power becomes low
• provide a separate safety recording alongside the wireless signal

Receiver-synchronised automatic internal recording is supported only by the DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver.

Original or processed internal files

Internal recordings can be saved in two forms.

The Original File preserves audio without the selected algorithmic enhancements, providing greater flexibility for manual noise reduction, equalisation and dynamics processing.

The Processed File can include selected enhancements such as:

• voice-tone presets
• low-cut filtering
• AI noise reduction
• adaptive gain control

Processed File is the default internal recording format.

Independent voice recorder

The transmitter can operate without a receiver as a compact independent recorder. It can be attached to a speaker, placed on a table or positioned near a sound source.

It is suitable for:

• interviews
• lectures
• meetings
• personal voice notes
• backup audio
• isolated ambient recordings

High-speed file transfer

The charging case can connect directly to a compatible computer or smartphone. Internal recordings can be transferred at up to 34MB/s.

At this transfer rate, approximately 30 minutes of 24-bit audio can be copied in around eight seconds, accelerating backup and post-production workflows.

Two-level AI noise reduction

DJI’s AI-based noise-reduction model identifies and reduces environmental noise while preserving clear and intelligible speech.

Basic mode is intended for quieter indoor environments and can reduce air-conditioning, fan noise, steady room ambience and moderate reverberation.

Strong mode provides more intensive processing for busy outdoor environments, traffic, events and other noisy locations.

Noise reduction is disabled by default and can be activated through the transmitter, the DJI Mimo app or a compatible DJI OsmoAudio device.

Adaptive gain control

Two adaptive gain-control modes are available.

Clipping Control reduces sudden signal peaks and helps prevent distortion in environments with unpredictable volume changes.

Loudness Balance dynamically adjusts gain to provide more consistent volume during interviews, podcasts and livestreams.

Adaptive gain control is disabled by default and can be configured in DJI Mimo.

Three voice-tone presets

The DJI Mic Mini 2S provides three voice-tone presets.

Regular offers a natural and balanced sound for general dialogue.

Rich increases low-frequency presence for a fuller voice character.

Bright emphasises higher frequencies for clearer and more immediate speech.

When Original File is selected, these presets are not applied to the internal recording, although they can still affect the transmitted signal.

Approximately 12g transmitter

Each transmitter weighs approximately 12g including its magnetic faceplate. Its lightweight construction allows discreet attachment to thin clothing without causing significant sagging or discomfort.

It can be mounted with:

• a removable clothing clip
• a magnetic clip
• a separate magnet
• placement inside or outside clothing

The rotating clip supports sideways or inverted attachment while maintaining a suitable microphone orientation.

Replaceable magnetic faceplates

Optional coloured magnetic faceplates allow the transmitter to blend into clothing or become a deliberate visual element.

The Time Series faceplates, created in collaboration with illustrator Victo Ngai, offer four distinctive artistic designs. Optional colour and art faceplates are sold separately.

Redesigned charging case

The charging case can store the complete wireless audio system, including:

Four isolated tracks with compatible Sony cameras

Using the separately available DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter, the receiver can connect directly to selected Sony cameras.

With a compatible camera and the required accessory, Quadraphonic mode supports four isolated output tracks. This enables independent level control, processing and mixing for each speaker during post-production.

Four-channel output is limited to selected Sony cameras and compatible computer software.

Direct DJI OsmoAudio connection

The transmitter can connect directly to selected DJI Osmo products without a separate receiver. Up to two transmitters can provide 48kHz, 24-bit audio through OsmoAudio.

The supplied source lists compatibility with:

Direct Bluetooth connection to smartphones

One transmitter can connect directly to a compatible smartphone as a Bluetooth microphone. This allows use without a receiver in selected third-party recording and livestreaming applications.

Direct Bluetooth connection supports one transmitter at a time. Recording through the phone’s standard camera application is not supported; a compatible third-party app is required.

Broad device compatibility

The receiver includes a 3.5mm TRS connection and can be used with suitable adapters on:

The transmitter can retain pairing information for two receivers and one compatible DJI Osmo camera, supporting fast automatic reconnection.

Up to 400m transmission range

Maximum transmission distance can reach 400m between a DJI Mic Mini 2S receiver and compatible Mic Mini-series transmitters in an open, unobstructed and interference-free environment.

Using the DJI Mic Series mobile receiver, maximum distance can vary between approximately 200m and 300m depending on the configuration.

Real-world range can be reduced by buildings, people, wireless interference and transmitter placement.

Up to 40 hours of total operation

A transmitter can operate for up to approximately 11 hours, while the receiver can provide up to approximately 10 hours.

The fully charged case provides around 3.2 complete recharges, extending total system operation to approximately 40 hours.

The quoted result was measured with noise reduction and internal recording disabled under controlled conditions. Actual runtime varies according to settings, environment and firmware.

Fast charging

Five minutes of charging can provide up to one additional hour of operating time for both transmitters and the receiver.

Intelligent power management

The transmitter can automatically enter sleep mode when no receiver signal is detected, then wake and reconnect when the signal returns.

Automatic shutdown can turn the devices off after more than 15 minutes without a connection when enabled in DJI Mimo.

With compatible cameras and connection methods, the receiver can also power on and off together with the camera. Operation can vary between camera models.

Auto Power-Saving ^[20]
The transmitter automatically enters sleep mode when it doesn't detect a signal from the receiver. It will wake up and reconnect to the receiver once the signal is detected again.
Auto Power-Off
When auto power-off is enabled for both the transmitter and receiver in the DJI Mimo app ^[21], they shut down automatically if disconnected for over 15 minutes.
Receiver On/Off With Camera ^[22]
When enabled in the DJI Mimo app, a receiver connected to a camera will automatically power on and off in sync with the camera's physical power state.
Use While Charging ^[23]
When the receiver is connected to your phone, it draws power directly from the phone. If it is connected to an external power source, both will be charged at the same time.

2. The DJI Mic Mini 2S Transmitter features approximately 14.5GB built-in storage and can record up to 28 hours of audio in the default 24-bit internal recording mode. In the 32-bit internal recording mode, it can record up to 22 hours of audio.

3. The Noise Canceling feature is disabled by default. It can be enabled via the transmitter button or DJI Mimo app, while the noise canceling level (Strong or Basic) can be set via the app. When using the receiver with multiple transmitters, noise canceling can be enabled/disabled for all transmitters simultaneously. When the transmitter is connected to ecosystem devices such as Osmo Pocket 4P, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6 via DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection, the Noise Canceling feature can be set directly on the product interface. The noise cancelation switch on the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver allows quick adjustment of noise cancelation levels (Off = O, Low = L, High = H). Note that if the internal recording file type is set to Original File, noise canceling will not apply to the internally recorded file but will still affect the audio signal transmitted to the receiver.

20. This feature is only effective when the device is powered on. If the auto power-off feature for the transmitter and receiver is enabled in the DJI Mimo app, both devices will automatically shut down if no pairing signal is detected after 15 minutes.

21. When both the transmitter and receiver are set to auto power off and the transmitter's internal recording feature is disabled, they will automatically shut down if disconnected for over 15 minutes.

22. When the receiver is connected to a camera via the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter and the camera is not in video recording mode, or when it enters playback mode, the receiver may automatically power off and will not automatically power back on with the camera. This is determined by camera specifications, and it may vary between different camera brands and models. Please refer to your actual usage experience for details.

23. If your phone uses a Lightning port, the receiver cannot be powered by the phone's battery without an external power source. To enable simultaneous charging and use, you need to purchase the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver Adapter (USB-C to Lightning) separately.

The DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver supports mixed connection with the DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic Mini, DJI Mic Mini 2, or DJI Mic Mini 2S Transmitters, with up to two transmitters connected at once. 32. The transmitter and receiver's operating time was measured in a controlled test environment. Actual experience may vary depending on the environment, usage, and firmware version. The 48-hour operating time was measured using DJI Mic Mini 2 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) paired with a fully charged charging case, with noise cancelation off, during close-range audio recording under open, interference-free, unobstructed conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to a camera via the Camera Audio Cable (3.5mm TRS).

The transmitter and receiver's operating time was measured using DJI Mic 3 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case), with features such as noise cancelation and internal recording off, during close-range audio recording under interference-free conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to a camera via the 3.5mm audio cable. The 28-hour operating time was measured using DJI Mic 3 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) paired with a fully charged charging case, with features such as noise cancelation and internal recording off, during close-range audio recording under interference-free conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and the receiver connected to a camera via the 3.5mm audio cable.

34. Tested with both transmitters connected to the receiver, without backup recording, and the receiver connected to a camera with the Camera Audio Cable (3.5mm TRS).

34. Internal recordings can be saved as either Original File or an algorithm-enhanced Edited File. The default setting is the Edited File. To change this format: when the transmitter is directly connected to a compatible smartphone or a DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem device, make the selection via the phone or device interface; when the receiver is connected to a smartphone, configure it via the DJI Mimo app. Algorithm-based enhancements include voice tone presets, low cut, noise cancellation, and adaptive gain control.

35. The Auto Recording with Receiver feature is supported only by the DJI Mic Mini 2S Receiver.
