DJI's first action camera with an adjustable lens (f/2.0 [4]-f/4.0), the Osmo Action 6, breaks with the traditional fixed lens design and offers lens modes suitable for a variety of scenarios [4].
Larger lens, infinite creativity
With a maximum aperture of f/2.0 [4], the Osmo Action 6 performs well in low light conditions and delivers noticeably better image quality. Combined with macro lenses [5], you can take stunning close-ups of food, pets, and more, with beautiful shallow depth of field at closer shooting distances [5].

- Measured at 25°C (77°F) room temperature, while recording 1080p/24fps (16:9) video, with RockSteady enabled, Wi-Fi, audio, and hand gesture controls disabled, and displays off. Data collected in a controlled environment and for informational purposes only. Actual battery life may vary when activating and using Osmo Action 6 in the European Union and the United Kingdom due to local regulations regarding product operating temperatures. - Two DJI microphones are required. Direct connection to first-generation DJI microphones is not supported. DJI microphones are sold separately.
- Before use, please close the battery compartment cover and USB-C port cover, and press the glass lens cover firmly. When shooting underwater for long periods of time or in environments with high water pressure, it is recommended to use the waterproof case. The Osmo Action 6 and its waterproof case are rated IP68 waterproof. Do not use the camera in hot springs or extreme underwater environments, and do not allow it to come into contact with corrosive or unknown liquids. The shutter/record button will be disabled at approximately 0.14 MPa (roughly 14 meters deep). The actual depth required to disable the shutter/record button may vary depending on water conditions, air pressure, and device status.
- In Auto mode, the user can choose from five aperture ranges (f/2.0–f/4.0, f/2.2–f/4.0, f/2.4–f/4.0, f/2.6–f/4.0, and f/2.8–f/4.0), with f/2.0–f/4.0 as the default. In large aperture (f/2.0) mode, the aperture value is fixed at f/2.0. Aperture modes may be limited depending on shooting modes and accessories. For more information, please refer to the FAQ page on the official Osmo Action 6 website.
- The Osmo Action 6 standard combination does not include Osmo Action 6 macro lenses, which are sold separately. When paired with macro lenses, the focus distance can be adjusted between 11 and 75 cm. Macro lenses cannot be used underwater (e.g., for diving) and are only splash-proof. When the macro lenses are attached, certain shooting modes or functions may be limited. For details, refer to the actual device display.
- For optimal results, using the Ring Light (f/4.0) lens mode is recommended for urban night scenes brighter than 80 lux.
- SuperNight mode supports 10-bit color depth. It does not support HorizonBalancing and HorizonSteady functions, 155° ultra-wide field of view, or 4:3 aspect ratio. Certain lens modes may not be available when using SuperNight mode. For more information, please refer to the FAQ page on the official Osmo Action 6 website.
- The 10-bit D-Log M color mode can be enabled when using standard video, slow motion, and Hyperlapse modes.
- To use the 32x Super Slow Motion feature, you need to record a standard video at 1080p/240fps. After recording, you can apply the slow motion effect with a single tap on the camera's playback interface. 960fps is equivalent to 1080p resolution footage produced by in-camera interpolation, not native 4K.
- For Osmo Action 6, Timelapse and Slow Motion modes do not support EIS. HorizonSteady and HorizonBalancing are supported for 1080p/2.7K/4K videos (≤ 60 fps) in 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as for 4K Custom videos at 60 fps or lower frame rates.
- 2x lossless zoom is not available for 38MP and 34MP photos, or in SuperNight, Subject Tracking, Slow Motion, and Timelapse modes.
- Supported only in 16:9 aspect ratio at frame rates below 100fps.
- This feature requires the latest firmware update.
- The water pressure sensor is activated at a depth of 1 meter underwater and only works when the camera is in the water without a waterproof case.
- Both hands can be detected within a range of 2 meters. Do not cover the heads with your hands. Raise your hands and open your palms to start or stop recording, or to take a photo. The actual range may vary depending on future firmware updates.
- Can be used with cycling data from Huawei Watch/Band, Apple Watch, Garmin devices, or third-party FIT files.
- The Osmo Action 6 standard combination does not include the Osmo Action 6 FOV Boost lens, which can be purchased separately. The FOV Boost lens cannot be used underwater (e.g., for diving) and is only splash-proof. When the FOV Boost lens is attached, the Slow Motion feature is not supported.
- The native field of view of the Osmo Action 6 can reach up to 155°. When the FOV Boost lens is attached, the field of view of the Osmo Action 6 increases to 182°. Although 182° is the maximum optical field of view achievable with this design, the actual field of view during recording may vary slightly due to distortion correction and stabilization settings.
- Only applicable to iOS devices and certain Android devices that support third-party live photo integration.
- Applicable to devices that support third-party Bluetooth remote control protocols, including: HUAWEI WATCH 5, HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2, Wuyang-Honda motorcycles (G150, F125, NSP), Amazfit watches (T-Rex Ultra, CheetahPro, Falcon), Magene bike computers (C506, C606, C706), Giant bike computers (PLANET G9), etc. GPS Bluetooth remote controls are sold separately.
- High-speed USB 3.1 data transfer requires a USB 3.1-compatible cable, which is sold separately. In an interference-free environment, the wireless transfer speed of photos/videos stored in the built-in storage can reach up to 80 MB/s, while photos/videos stored on an SD card can reach up to 50 MB/s. The included USB-C to USB-C PD cable (USB 3.1) supports data transfer speeds of up to 300 MB/s.
- Measured at 25°C (77°F) under laboratory conditions using a USB-C charger that supports the standard PD 3.0 protocol and a maximum PD output of at least 30W, with the photo/video capture functions and displays turned off. Data was collected in a controlled environment and is for informational purposes only.
- For Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Action 5 Pro, Timelapse and Slow Motion modes do not support EIS. HorizonSteady only supports 1080p/2.7K quality videos with a 16:9 aspect ratio (≤ 60fps), while HorizonBalancing only supports 1080p/2.7K/4K quality (≤ 60 fps) videos, also with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Subject Tracking mode is only available when shooting horizontally and supports videos up to 2.7K/60fps in 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios. When the Osmo Action 6 macro lens is attached, Subject Tracking is not supported.
- Measured at temperatures between −20 °C (-4 °F) and 45 °C (113 °F) under laboratory conditions, while recording 1080p/24fps (16:9 aspect ratio) video recording with RockSteady enabled and Wi-Fi and displays disabled. The maximum continuous recording time was 167 minutes at −20 °C (−4 °F) and 190 minutes at 45 °C (113 °F). The data was collected in a controlled environment and is for informational purposes only.
