The Action 4's dynamic recording capabilities, crystal clear sound or seamless post-editing options are all designed for razor-sharp capture of fast sports.
Stereo recording
The footage is completed with crisp, clear sound thanks to built-in microphones, ensuring high-quality audio recordings. The Action 4 supports external DJI Mic connectivity for even richer recording options.

Reducing environmental noise
The Action 4 has three microphones for better sound fidelity and omnidirectional recording. A hidden microphone at the bottom of the action camera and advanced wind noise reduction software ensure clear sound even in windy or fast-moving situations.

Wireless microphone
The Action 4 is compatible with the DJI Mic [11] external microphone, which has a transmission range of up to 250 metres. [12] The Action 4 can also be connected to other external microphones using a Type-C to 3.5mm jack converter cable.

Live video streaming over Wi-Fi
Action 4 supports live streaming over Wi-Fi or using the phone's hotspot feature. Simply select the platform and resolution you want and connect to the world.
Use an external power supply to keep your action camera charged during longer broadcasts to ensure continuous coverage.

The LightCut application is adapted to the Action 4 usage scenarios. It can automatically recognise cycling, diving, surfing or ski/snowboard clips and intelligently pair them with sport-specific templates to create high-resolution clips. Separate templates are also available for camping, vlogging, travel and parties.

1. The 155° FOV supports up to 4K/60fps video recording and requires stabilization to be turned off.
2. The Horizontal-Vertical Protective Frame is required for vertical shooting.
3. 10-bit color is only supported under the D-Log M color mode.
4. The 120fps high frame rate is applicable to 1080p, 2.7K 16:9, and 4K 16:9 video specifications.
5. The hydrophobicity of the front screen, rear screen, and Glass Lens Cover is realized through AF coating, which may be affected by accidental scratches.
6. Before using the action camera, close the battery cover and the USB-C port cover, and tighten the Glass Lens Cover. It is recommended to install the Waterproof Case for long-term underwater shooting or in environments with high water impact pressure. Osmo Action 4 and its Waterproof Case have an IP68 waterproof rating. Do not use the camera in hot springs or extreme underwater environments, or let it come into contact with corrosive or unknown liquids.

19. The maximum operating time was tested when recording video at 1080p/30fps (Power Reserve mode) with electronic image stabilization disabled and under laboratory conditions.
20. Electronic stabilization (EIS) is not supported in Timelapse and Slow Motion modes. HorizonSteady supports only 1080p/2.7K video (≤60fps) in 16:9 ratio, and HorizonBalancing supports only 1080p/2.7K/4K video (≤60fps) in 16:9 ratio.
