24.2MP Full-Frame Sensor

The EOS R6 Mark II features a new 24.2MP CMOS sensor designed for both still photography and video production. The full-frame sensor delivers a wide dynamic range, natural color rendering, and dependable image quality across a variety of lighting conditions.

DIGIC X Processor

The DIGIC X image processor provides high-speed performance and fast data handling. The camera supports up to 40 fps continuous shooting with a silent electronic shutter, or up to 12 fps with the mechanical shutter, with AF and AE tracking before each frame.

The sensitivity range extends from ISO 100–102400, expandable up to ISO 204800 for working in difficult lighting conditions.

Advanced Video Capabilities

The EOS R6 Mark II offers internal UHD 4K 60p video recording using the full width of the sensor. It supports 10-bit Canon Log 3 recording, as well as oversampled 4K 30p footage from a 6K capture area for improved sharpness, reduced moiré, and lower noise.

For slow-motion footage, Full HD recording at up to 180p is supported. HDR-PQ recording is also available, while the micro-HDMI port provides clean external output for compatible recorders.

External 6K RAW Recording

When paired with a compatible external recorder, the micro-HDMI port enables 6K RAW video recording. ProRes RAW can be recorded at up to 6K 60p using the full width of the sensor, while cropped 3.7K RAW recording is also possible.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II

The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system uses 1053 automatic AF zones with wide coverage across the frame. It can detect and track people, animals, and vehicles, making it highly effective for sports, wildlife, portrait, event, and action photography.

Autofocus remains reliable in low light, with sensitivity down to -6.5 EV.

In-Body Image Stabilization

The 5-axis in-body image stabilization system helps reduce camera shake when shooting handheld stills or video. When used with compatible RF lenses, stabilization can reach up to 8 stops, which is especially useful in low light, at longer focal lengths, or when recording handheld video.

Body Design and Handling

The high-resolution 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder provides a bright and detailed eye-level view, with up to 120 fps refresh rate for a more natural viewing experience. The rear 3.0", 1.62-million-dot vari-angle touchscreen LCD supports flexible shooting from high, low, and front-facing angles, making it useful for vlogging and creative composition.

The refined body design includes multiple control dials and a rear joystick for fast, intuitive operation and focus point selection.
