Next-generation autofocus
With deep learning AI and subject recognition
The EOS R7 features deep learning AI and iTR AF technology, which you'll find in our EOS R3, EOS R5, and EOS R6 cameras. This means it can recognize people, animals, and vehicles and keep them in sharp focus, no matter where they move within the frame.
Autofocus that exceeds all expectations
Nature photographers will love how the camera recognizes flying birds and keeps them sharp as they fly across the landscape. Sports photographers will enjoy tracking people as they move quickly and unpredictably—even when they're wearing helmets, looking in different directions, or turning upside down.
The EOS R7's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system covers and tracks subjects across virtually 100% of the frame, providing fast, accurate autofocus even when the light level drops to -5 EV or even at a maximum aperture of f/22.
A new level of image stabilization
7-stop protection against camera shake
Imagine being able to take long exposure photos handheld, deliberately blurring moving subjects without having to use a tripod. Or record super-smooth videos while walking with your camera. The EOS R7's built-in image stabilizer (IBIS) opens up a world of new creative possibilities and may even make you rethink how you use your camera system.
It's okay if you move, the image stays stable
The camera's built-in image stabilization system (IBIS) works in conjunction with the optical image stabilizer built into many RF lenses. The RF lens mount's lightning-fast communication speed and physical width, up to 7 stops with the RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM lens and up to 8 stops with other RF lenses that enable stabilization over 5 axes, means that even long exposures can be shot steadily from the hand without camera shake.
And when shooting with lenses without image stabilization (such as fast prime lenses), the EOS R system's wide lens mount ensures that the EOS R7's IBIS image stabilization provides extremely effective stabilization against camera shake.
Almost instantly...
Impressive speed and performance
The perfect moment may only last a fraction of a second, which is why we designed the EOS R7 to be exceptionally fast. Capture RAW, JPEG, and HEIF files at an impressive 15 fps—or up to 30 fps using the camera's silent electronic shutter—with continuous AF and AE that responds continuously during shooting. The maximum electronic shutter speed of 1/16,000 sec reveals details that are often invisible to the naked eye.
Designed for quick response
The camera's DIGIC X processor ensures fast, responsive handling and virtually eliminates viewfinder lag, providing a truly dynamic shooting experience. Up to 42 RAW and 126 JPEG files can be captured in a single 30 fps burst.
Continuous motion, perfectly captured on video
When shooting video, the frame rate can be up to 60p in 4K and up to 120p in Full HD. It captures moving subjects with incredible precision and can create extremely smooth slow-motion footage during post-production.
A new chapter in image quality.
Photos and videos that exceed expectations
Whether you're shooting stills or video, the EOS R7's 32.5-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor deliver stunning results. The technical advantages of the EOS R system, combined with our expertise in optics and sensor design, deliver image quality like nothing you've ever experienced before.
Image quality beyond expectations
Photos with rich detail, color, and dynamic range – even in low light, thanks to a maximum sensitivity of ISO 32,000. High-quality 4K video can be captured by oversampling the 7K sensor output, while Canon Log 3 provides a wide dynamic range and post-production flexibility.
Electronic viewfinder
Even the impressive 120 fps 2.36 million dot electronic viewfinder has an OVF assist mode to help those switching from DSLR cameras.

Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN
Breathtaking versatility
A large zoom lens with F2.8 brightness that never needs to be taken off your camera.
This exceptionally small, lightweight and high brightness standard zoom lens for mirrorless cameras with image cropping is the epitome of lenses.
Sigma's first zoom lens for APS-C sensor mirrorless systems delivers the focal length of 27-75mm lenses commonly found on full-frame cameras, making it ideal for a range of photographic and video applications from landscapes, portraits and street photography to architectural and event photography. The magnification ratio of 1:2.8 also makes it suitable for macro-style photography, with a minimum object distance of just 12.1 cm. The F2.8 brightness makes it easier to shoot tripod-free in low light, and the shallow depth of field helps to make photos more effective.
Automatic focusing is exceptionally fast and quiet thanks to the stepping motor, which is particularly useful when shooting video, animals, children or other fast-moving subjects. The lens is exceptionally small and lightweight (less than 300g), making it ideal as a first interchangeable lens or as a second lens on full-frame bodies for a wide variety of photographic tasks.
High F2.8 brightness and outstanding image quality
The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary covers the 27mm to 75mm range common on small film cameras, while offering F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range. This makes it easy to blur the background, which comes in handy when shooting spectacular portraits or close-ups. The bokeh is soft and pleasing, so it doesn't distract the viewer from the subject.
The lens' three large precision-molded glass aspherical elements in a minimized lens replacement system guarantee outstanding optical quality without unnecessary weight, while in-camera corrections effectively correct optical defects such as geometric distortion or edge darkening.
Exceptionally compact and lightweight frame ideal for mirrorless cameras
The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary is remarkably compact and well suited to mirrorless APS-C sensor cameras. This makes it a perfect companion, ideal for everyday tasks. It's the smallest and lightest lens in its class, with a maximum diameter of φ65.4 mm, a length of 74.5 mm and a weight of 290 g, yet it can deliver F2.8 aperture at full focal lengths.
To make the lens as lightweight as possible, Sigma engineers built the body from carefully selected materials. For the tube, they chose a polycarbonate called Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), which is filigree, robust and, most importantly, has the same thermal expansion properties as aluminium. This ensures stable performance and good usability even when shooting at varying temperatures. The fact that some internal components are made of metal allows them to be thinner yet more robust, so the lens can withstand frequent, heavy use.
Supports a wide variety of shooting situations
The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary uses a faster and almost completely silent AF system, making the lens suitable for use in a range of photographic areas, including quiet locations, video recording and shooting fast-moving subjects. This is made possible by the stepping motor used within the AF mechanism. Because it is small and lightweight, it is well suited for situations requiring high mobility such as handheld photography, video shooting with a gimbal, one-on-one videography or vlogging.
About the minimum object distance
Sigma has designed the lens with a minimum focal length of 12.1 cm and a maximum magnification of 1:2.8* to make it as versatile as possible in a wide range of shooting conditions and ideal for close-ups.
*Both the smallest object distance and the highest magnification are available at the widest angle of view. Remove the lens hood when you plan to shoot at the maximum angle of view (minimum focal length) and the smallest subject distance.
