Details

A special filter used primarily for black and white photography. It is excellent for correcting skin tones, highlighting facial expressions in close-ups and emphasising a sense of vividness.

The R1 filter is particularly effective for increasing contrast, but is also ideal for dramatic cloud effects in landscapes. It can also be used creatively in colour and infrared photography. These popular filters are renowned for their ability to minimise reflections from filter surfaces, reducing glare and ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of over 97%, resulting in sharp contrast and balanced colours. HOYA HMC filters are recommended to enhance the performance of today's multi-coated lenses.
