Deity PR-4 Portable 4-Input / 6-Track 32-Bit Float Field Recorder

The Deity PR-4 Portable Field Recorder is designed for small productions that still demand professional, multimicrophone audio capture. Compact enough to mount directly on a camera or fit into a lightweight production bag, the PR-4 delivers four inputs and six-track recording—making it an ideal solution for filmmakers, videographers, and content creators working without a dedicated sound mixer. Whether you’re recording interviews, documentaries, weddings, or multiperson scenes, it keeps your workflow streamlined without sacrificing flexibility.

Multi-Mic Recording Made Simple

With two XLR inputs and a stereo 3.5mm TRS input for channels 3 and 4, the PR-4 makes it easy to combine a boom microphone with multiple wireless lavaliers. Built-in Automix intelligently manages active microphones, helping maintain clear dialogue when multiple speakers are present, while still recording isolated tracks for full control in postproduction.

32-Bit-Float Performance with Clean Gain

The PR-4's 32-bit-float recording and dual-ADC microphone preamps provide up to +60 dB of clean gain, allowing it to handle everything from quiet dialogs to loud environments without distortion. This architecture eliminates the need for precise gain staging, giving creators confidence that their recordings will remain usable and noise-free.

Dual Recording for Built-In Backup

For added reliability, the PR-4 records simultaneously to an SD card (up to 1TB) and an internal 64GB SSD. This dual-media recording system provides automatic redundancy, protecting your audio files in case of card failure, loss, or accidental formatting-an added layer of security rarely found in a recorder of this size.

Advanced Sync and Remote Control

Wired and wireless timecode synchronization keeps cameras, slates, and other devices aligned, simplifying multi-device productions. With Sidus Audio app control, users can remotely monitor and adjust settings from a smartphone or tablet, reducing the need to physically access the recorder during a shoot.

Compact Design with Professional Details

Despite its small footprint, the PR-4 includes a color touchscreen interface with intuitive gestures and clear metering, AES3/AES42 digital audio support for professional gear compatibility, and a flexible routing matrix for sending signals to cameras, headphones, or custom mixes. NP-F battery compatibility ensures long run times for extended shoots, making it a reliable companion for modern production setups.
