DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Dual-Camera Pocket Gimbal

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is a compact dual-camera handheld gimbal designed for professional video, travel, portraits, vlogging and social media production. Its 20mm wide-angle camera uses a new 1-inch CMOS sensor, while the 60mm f/1.8 medium-telephoto camera provides more natural portrait perspective and stronger subject separation.
Three-axis mechanical stabilisation, ActiveTrack 8.0, D-Log 2 and high-frame-rate 4K recording support cinematic production in a body weighing only 230g. Integrated 103GB storage allows recording to begin without installing a memory card.

Physical dual-camera system

Osmo Pocket 4P features two separate cameras:

• 20mm wide-angle camera
• 60mm medium-telephoto camera

The cameras do not record simultaneously. The device switches to the appropriate camera according to the selected zoom level. Both cameras are calibrated to provide consistent colour and a more natural visual transition when changing focal length.

New 1-inch CMOS wide-angle camera

The wide-angle camera uses a new 1-inch CMOS sensor with a 20mm equivalent f/2.0 lens. Its broad field of view is suitable for travel, landscapes, architecture, interiors, vlogging and handheld tracking shots.

Up to 17 stops of dynamic range

Using LOFIC technology, the wide-angle camera provides up to 17 stops of dynamic range when recording with the D-Log 2 colour profile. This helps preserve detail in bright highlights and dark shadows in high-contrast scenes.

The stated maximum is achieved in D-Log 2 mode. Actual dynamic range can vary according to recording mode, frame rate and other camera settings.

60mm f/1.8 medium-telephoto camera

The second camera provides a 60mm equivalent focal length and an f/1.8 aperture. The medium-telephoto perspective produces more natural facial proportions than an ultra-wide lens and is suitable for portraits, interviews, products and detail shots.

The bright aperture supports stronger subject separation and smoother natural background blur.

Up to 12× zoom

The 20mm and 60mm cameras provide a 3× optical change in perspective, complemented by digital zoom. Up to 12× zoom is available in selected video modes, although the maximum value depends on resolution and recording mode.

4K/240fps and 4K/200fps slow motion

The wide-angle camera records slow-motion video at up to 4K/240fps, while the medium-telephoto camera supports up to 4K/200fps. These high frame rates provide detailed reproduction of rapid movement.

The resulting slow-motion factor depends on the recording and playback frame rates selected during production.

Long-exposure video

Manual use of slower shutter speeds can create motion blur and light trails in video. This allows movement and the passage of time to become part of the visual composition.

10-bit D-Log 2

D-Log 2 provides greater flexibility for professional colour grading. Ten-bit colour records more than one billion colours, supporting smoother gradients and more extensive adjustment during post-production.

DJI also provides official D-Log 2 to Rec.709 conversion LUTs for faster post-production workflows.

Three-axis mechanical stabilisation

The mechanical three-axis gimbal physically compensates for camera movement in real time. It supports smoother footage when walking, panning, following subjects or recording handheld video.

ActiveTrack 8.0

ActiveTrack 8.0 automatically follows a selected subject while adjusting the gimbal to maintain framing. It can track people, pets, vehicles and other selected objects.

Tracking is not available in every shooting mode. Certain panorama, timelapse, slow-motion and specialised modes do not support ActiveTrack.

Multi-person tracking

Multi-person tracking can keep several people within the composition and adapt framing as additional subjects enter the scene. It is useful for group vlogs, interviews, family recordings and presentations.

Gesture Control

Gesture Control allows touch-free operation. Showing an open palm starts or stops tracking, while a V gesture triggers a photo countdown or starts and stops video recording.

Rotatable 2-inch touchscreen

Rotating the 2-inch touchscreen quickly powers on the camera and allows switching between horizontal and vertical shooting. The display has a resolution of 556 × 314 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1000 nits.

4K Live Photo

4K Live Photo attaches a short 4K video clip to a still image, preserving movement around the photographed moment. Individual frames can also be selected from the recorded sequence.

Approximately 37MP photographs

Osmo Pocket 4P supports still photographs at approximately 37 megapixels, providing greater detail and more flexibility for cropping and reframing.

103GB integrated storage

The camera provides 103GB of usable internal storage. At standard bit rates, DJI states that the storage can hold approximately:

• 570 minutes of 1080p/24fps video
• 210 minutes of 4K/60fps video

These values describe storage capacity rather than battery operating time.

Up to 800MB/s data transfer

Using a compatible USB 3.1 cable, wired transfer from internal storage can reach up to 800MB/s. Wireless transfer over Wi-Fi can reach up to 90MB/s.

Livestreaming and webcam operation

Osmo Pocket 4P supports livestreaming through the DJI Mimo app at up to 1080p. Platform support can vary by region and app version.

It can also operate as a webcam through a compatible USB-C connection, making it suitable for online meetings, remote education and desktop broadcasts.

Integrated timecode

Integrated timecode assigns a unique time reference to video frames. This simplifies synchronisation in multi-camera productions and when audio is recorded separately.

Osmo Pocket 4P measures 159.5 × 63.3 × 33.5mm and weighs 230g. Its compact body incorporates two cameras, a mechanical gimbal, touchscreen, three microphones and integrated storage.
