Sigma 200mm f/2 DG OS Sports – Professional Telephoto Lens for Portraits, Sports, and Wildlife

The Sigma 200mm f/2 DG OS Sports is a unique telephoto lens that combines an ultra-fast f/2 aperture with a narrow angle of view, making it an exceptional choice for portrait photography, indoor sports, and wildlife shooting. Its impressive bokeh, visual compression, and outstanding sharpness create a cinematic look that meets the demands of professional photographers. With optical stabilization (OS) and a high-speed HLA autofocus motor, it ensures precise, tack-sharp results even when tracking fast-moving subjects. Built with a robust, weather-sealed construction, the lens is ready for reliable use in challenging conditions. Available with official warranty and expert support from Fotoplus, the Sigma 200mm f/2 DG OS Sports is an essential tool for sports, action, and nature photographers.

Immense Speed with Impressive Reach

Combining an ultra-fast maximum aperture with a distinctly narrow field of view, the Sigma 200mm f/2 DG OS Sports Lens is a unique telephoto prime characterized by its expressive bokeh effects, visual compression, and high sharpness that's ideal for portraiture, landscape, and indoor sports subjects.

Distinct Focal Length, Distinctively Fast
Long Portrait, Medium Telephoto

A unique focal length, the 200mm lens is equally suitable as a long portrait lens as well as a versatile tool for indoor and close-range sports. The relatively narrow field of view isolates subjects and helps fill the frame with a single person or animal and also contributes to producing shallow depth of field effects with ease.

Supremely Fast f/2 Maximum Aperture

Complementing the long focal length is a surprisingly fast f/2 maximum aperture, which yields a super shallow depth of field for selective focus effects. Simultaneously, the f/2 design also makes this an ideal lens for photographing in low-light and indoor lighting conditions while still shooting handheld.

Professional-Grade Optics and Distinct Bokeh

• Two kinds of low dispersion glass are featured in the optical design to greatly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for high clarity and accurate color rendering throughout the aperture range.
• The optical design also resists flare and ghosting and both Nano Porous and Super Multi-Layer Coatings have been applied to further maintain high contrast and color accuracy in a variety of lighting conditions.
• The focal length, bright design, and rounded 11 diaphragm blade design all contribute to especially smooth bokeh with a distinct visual compression and a striking separation between subjects and blurred backgrounds.

Advanced Autofocus and Optical Stabilization
HLA-Driven AF

A combination of high-speed, nimble focusing performance and robust image stabilization makes this mid-telephoto ideal for photographing and tracking fast moving subjects.

• A high-thrust HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) quickly moves the lightweight focusing group for quick focus switching and nimble tracking of fast-moving subjects.
• Three separate AFL buttons make it easy to control focus position while tracking subjects.
• Focus Mode and Focus Limiter switches give further control on focus speed and range for even more control depending on what the subject is and how far away it is.

Powerful OS and OS2 Algorithm

Helping to achieve sharp and stable images, this 200mm features a robust image stabilization system that compensates for 6.5 stops of camera shake. Powered by Sigma's OS2 algorithm and using a dedicated drive unit, actuator, and high-precision sensor, this stabilization system is perfectly matched to the larger size and wider aperture design of this lens.

Additionally, for more refined control, two OS modes are available:

• Mode 1 is a general application stabilization mode, suitable for most photo and video situations.
• Mode 2 is a specialized setting for panning work and makes use of the OS2 algorithm to better stabilize shots while moving the lens horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, regardless of the camera's orientation.

Durable and Intuitive Design
Rugged, Weather-Sealed Construction

Built for harsh environments, the lens features a highly durable design intended for use in trying conditions:

• Dust- and splash-resistant seals for reliability in inclement weather conditions.
• The front element features a water- and oil-repellant coating that is especially easy to clean.
• Thermal insulation paint prevents overheating in extreme temperatures.

Thoughtful Design

• Aperture ring can be de-clicked for smooth, silent iris switching.
• As a heavier and larger lens, this 200mm f/2 lens will often be used atop a tripod or monopod; it features a rotating tripod collar that incorporates detents at each 90° position.
• The removable TS-171 Tripod Socket is compatible with Arca-type clamps for direct attachment to a variety of heads. Additionally, this foot has intentionally been designed with a longer base surface and more spacing between the foot and lens body to make it more comfortable to use as a carry handle.
