REVOLUTIONARY SOUND WITH AMAZING EASE
The RØDECaster Pro II's unrivalled feature set brings exceptional sound to every creative process. Four studio-quality Neutrik XLR-jack combo inputs can be used to connect a variety of microphones and instruments, including guitars, basses, keyboards and other devices with line-level or mic-level audio outputs, opening up a whole new world of creative possibilities. Each input is powered by RØDE's proprietary Revolution™ ultra-low noise, high output signal preamplifier, designed and manufactured in-house to deliver outstanding sound performance from any microphone or instrument. These world-class preamps have been developed specifically for the RØDECaster Pro II and are a match for any preamp costing up to thousands of dollars per channel. Their input noise is incredibly low at just -131.5dBV, with an amazing gain range of over 76dB. They sound impressively clear and rich in detail. With Revolution™ preamps, the battle for the ideal input signal level is over; even for the lowest-signal dynamic microphones.
The RØDECaster Pro II features the full suite of studio-quality APHEX® audio processors familiar from previous RØDE products. However, these digital processors have undergone a complete overhaul from those found in the original RØDECaster Pro, based on the results of component-level analysis of their analogue counterparts. The end result is a stunningly dynamic signal processing that allows any production to capture the atmosphere of a professional studio. At the heart of the signal processing is a proprietary architecture-based, high-performance, quad-core DSP processor with significantly more capacity than any currently available console audio engine. The RØDECaster Pro II also features a built-in effects processor to give users unlimited creativity to create their own unique sound.
Even with these complex sounding capabilities, the RØDECaster Pro II is incredibly easy to use. Every feature has been designed by RØDE's developers to support creativity without unnecessary hassle and time wasting. The high-resolution touchscreen, combined with a dedicated function selector knob (potmeter), makes navigation and console control super easy. Masterfully configured factory presets and the highly innovative VoxLab™ processor editor make it easy for even the most inexperienced user to record or broadcast their production with exceptional sound.
INFINITE CUSTOMISATION, INFINITE CREATIVE FREEDOM
The RØDECaster Pro II is fully customisable, making it easy to adapt it to any creative recording situation, whether it's live streaming, gaming, podcasting or music production. It has nine channels, six broadcast-quality faders and three virtual faders for control. The nine inputs, or channels, can be freely assigned to any fader, allowing users to design their own mixer architecture according to their needs and workflow.
The eight "SMART PADs" on the mixer are much more than just a sound pad or effects knob. The functions of these buttons can be customised, and can be used to add effects live such as echo, jangle, robotic tone or pitch modulation, to send MIDI commands to external software and hardware, or to trigger automated mixing operations such as fade in and fade out. The buttons are equipped with 8 memory banks, each bank storing 8 pre-programmed individual operations, up to a total of 64, and can be recalled at the touch of a button. The built-in effects and APHEX processors are also fully customisable, with detailed editing options allowing the user to fine-tune each effect and processor parameter to suit their own voice or instrument. All effect and processor settings can be saved as presets and loaded at any time, for any channel.
All settings, from mixer configuration to SMART PAD configuration, and even complete recordings can be saved as "shows" in the mixer's memory, allowing you to set up and start recording in seconds, for productions and settings that have already been rehearsed. This makes the RØDECaster Pro II an ideal tool for producing different types of content regularly and in rotation, in studios with multiple functions, and in production and educational facilities where individual users need to work with individual settings.
UNMATCHED CONNECTIVITY
RØDECaster Pro II's connectivity interface allows for more creative options, streamlined workflows and easier integration with other equipment than ever before. A perfect sound control centre for all creators!
Four microphones and instrument inputs are enough for everything from single-mic solo podcasts, to multi-cast or small band recordings and live broadcasts. Four headphone outputs and a pair of symmetrical stereo 6.3mm TRS jack outputs for speakers ensure crystal-clear monitoring and playback.
The console features two USB-C sockets for simultaneous and bi-directional connection of two computers and/or mobile devices. An additional virtual USB channel is used to mix audio from chat and conferencing applications into real-time broadcasts, enabling remote podcasts and complex streaming tasks. The USB connections are MFi (Made For iPhone) certified, ensuring seamless integration with iOS devices.
Thanks to the advanced Bluetooth broadband connectivity, you can make and record high-quality phone calls and interviews with the mixer. Bluetooth connectivity also allows you to stream pre-broadcasts from mobile devices or connect wireless speakers to the console. Recording can be made to a microSD™ memory card that can be inserted into the mixer, to a computer or to external storage, with ultra-fast data transfer via USB.
