The RODECaster Duo features two XLR-1/4" combo inputs for microphones or line-level signals, a stereo line output for speakers, two headphone outputs, a microSD card reader for internal multitrack recording, two USB-C host connections, and an Ethernet port for hardware or software integrations. Like the RCPII, it also offers intuitive controls including four assignable mixer channels, six color-coded customizable SMART pads for triggering audio, FX, and MIDI, a bright color touchscreen, and numerous buttons for creating virtually any type of immersive content. The RODECaster Duo also includes Bluetooth connectivity and built-in wireless receivers for direct compatibility with RØDE Wireless GO II and Wireless ME systems, enabling flexible workflows in almost any recording scenario.
Two High-End Preamps
The Revolution preamps provide exceptional transparency and detail with extremely low noise (just -131.5 dBV) and up to 76 dB of gain, allowing optimal recording levels even with low-output dynamic microphones—without the need for external mic boosters. Professional-grade Neutrik XLR-1/4" combo connectors support microphones (with +48V phantom power for condenser microphones), line-level sources, or instruments such as electric guitar and bass. Analog input pairs can be linked for convenient stereo recording of microphone sets, synthesizers, DJ mixers, or external devices.
6 Programmable SMART Pads
Each SMART pad can trigger audio files such as music or sound effects, activate special effects, send MIDI commands to software or hardware, or execute mixer functions like fades. The buttons beneath the pads allow additional customizable actions. Users can select different colors for pad illumination, providing a quick visual reference for assigned functions.
Customizable Multi-Channel Mixer
The 7-channel mixer includes four channels with full-size broadcast-quality physical faders and three virtual channels. Future updates will expand functionality through digital storage and hardware integrations. Physical faders and virtual channels can be freely assigned to the two analog inputs, USB and Bluetooth interfaces, or SMART pads. Each channel includes pan control, mute, and listen buttons (pre- or post-fader solo). Channel-specific color coding allows fast source identification.
